Numbers 31:49-51

⁴⁹ They said to him: ‘We have counted the soldiers who went to fight against the Midianites. They have all come back safely. ⁵⁰ So we have brought a gift to offer to the Lord. We have brought gold rings, ear-rings, necklaces and other gold things that people wear. They are gifts to remove our sins so that the Lord will forgive us.’

⁵¹ Moses and Eleazar took all the gold things that the soldiers' officers and leaders brought to them.
